    Frequently Asked Questions

    • Anything you use a few drops at a time goes in a glass dropper bottle: a 30 ml face serum, an essential oil, a hair tonic. The dropper? Most of our customers just say pipette. We say dropper set, since you're really buying three bits: a glass tube, a collar that screws on, and the rubber teat you squeeze. A euro dropper is a different animal: a little plastic plug in the neck that lets out one drop when you tip the bottle.
    • Squeeze our teat right down and you'll pull up about 1 ml, call it 20 drops of a watery serum. Not 2 ml. Oils come out in fewer, fatter drops. So a 30 ml dropper bottle is roughly 600 drops and a 10 ml bottle roughly 200. With a calibrated pipette you don't count, you read the line. People ask us this on WhatsApp every week, so print it on your label.
    • Start with what goes inside. A face serum goes in a pipette bottle, amber if there's vitamin C in it. A pure essential oil goes in a euro dropper bottle with a screw cap, so the oil never sits against rubber. A luxury serum goes in a press-button bottle. Selling a hair tonic that's dosed in millilitres? Then it's the calibrated bottle, the one with marks printed on the pipette. Size comes second: 30 ml for a face serum, 10 ml or 15 ml for an essential oil, 100 ml for a hair oil.
    • Ours start at 2 ml and stop at 120 ml. The tiny vials (2, 3, 5 and 10 ml) are what you send out as samples. Proper glass dropper bottles come in 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 100 and 120 ml. Not sure?     • Because sunlight wrecks vitamin C, retinol and most essential oils, and amber glass stops the UV that does the damage. That is the whole reason amber dropper bottles are everywhere. Black glass blocks even more than amber does, only you can't see how much is left. Blue and green look lovely on a shelf and help a bit. Clear and frosted? No protection at all, so save those dropper bottles for something stable, or for a product that lives in a carton.
    • You squeeze a pipette, you tip a euro dropper, and you push a press-button. A pipette with its rubber teat on top is what most people picture when they think of a 30 ml serum bottle. With a euro dropper there's no rubber anywhere, it hides inside the neck under a screw cap, so it's the one for a pure essential oil or for anything going in the post. A press-button fills its pipette when you push the top: one hand, no squeezing. Each press-button bottle comes with its own dropper. And watch the neck, because our flat-shoulder press-button bottle is 20 mm, which means none of our 18 mm parts will go on it.
    • Euro dropper bottles do not, if the cap is tight. Pipette dropper bottles can: squash the parcel, press the pipette teat, and oil comes out. Send them standing up, fill only to the shoulder, and put a shrink band over the neck. We pack our own orders for glass, with dividers.

    • Yes. For our 18 mm round bottles, droppers and caps are sold on their own: glass pipette dropper sets, and euro dropper inserts with caps. People buy them to replace a worn teat, or to move a range from pipette to euro dropper without new dropper bottles. Calibrated pipettes come fitted. The luxury shapes, the C51 square 30 ml, the C08 oval 30 ml and the C18 round 120 ml, come with their own droppers, and those fit only that luxury bottle.
    • There is no minimum on ready stock, so you can buy just one of our dropper bottles.
