Euro Dropper Inserts & Caps — 18mm
A euro dropper is a small plastic insert, also called an orifice reducer, that lets essential oil out one drop at a time, closed by a screw cap. RENTRASPA™ sells the white 18 mm insert and the caps separately: tamper-evident plastic caps in black or white, and metal caps in gold, black, silver and mushroom. They fit our 18 mm round bottles from 5 ml to 100 ml.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
A euro dropper is a plastic insert pressed into the neck of a bottle that releases liquid one drop at a time. It is the standard closure for essential oils in Europe and India. The insert stays in the bottle; a screw cap closes over it for storage and shipping. It is also called an orifice reducer or dropper insert.
-
A euro dropper is a fixed insert under a screw cap; a pipette dropper is a glass tube with a rubber bulb. The euro dropper suits undiluted essential oils, because the oil never touches rubber and the bottle travels sealed. A pipette suits serums and face oils dosed by the drop. Our 18 mm round bottles take either closure.
-
18 mm, the standard neck on our plain round glass bottles from 5 ml to 100 ml. That covers the essential oil, dropper and serum bottles in amber, clear, frosted, blue, green and black. Press-button droppers, roll-ons, spray bottles and designer bottles use their own closures and do not take these caps.
-
Yes: the white euro dropper insert and the caps are separate options on the product page. For a complete euro dropper closure, order one insert and one cap per bottle. If you only need to replace caps, or want to switch from plastic to metal caps, order the caps alone.
-
A cap with a ring that breaks away the first time the bottle is opened. It shows the customer that the oil has not been opened or diluted since it left your filling table, which matters for retail essential oils. We stock tamper-evident caps in black and white plastic, in two styles each.
-
Plastic tamper-evident caps for everyday retail oils; metal caps for premium blends and gifting. Plastic caps are lighter, cheaper and show tampering. Metal caps in gold, black, silver and mushroom give a heavier, luxury finish. Both fit the same 18 mm bottles, so one bottle can carry either cap.
-
Fill the bottle to just below the neck, place the insert on top and press it in firmly with your thumb until it sits flush. Then screw the cap on. A small hand press helps on large runs. Wipe the neck dry first; oil on the glass can stop the insert from seating evenly.
-
Yes: our 18 mm round bottles take both. Many brands sell an oil with a euro dropper and offer a pipette dropper for face-oil use, or switch a range between the two without changing the bottle. Pipette sets are sold with the dropper bottles.

They ship straight from the factory cartons, not pre-washed. Wash inserts and caps in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse, and air-dry fully before use. Do not boil them, and wipe them with 70% isopropyl alcohol only if the plastic tolerates it in a quick test.
