Most people just say pipette bottle. Chemists say pipette, some shops say dropping bottle; same thing. On ours you get the clear glass bottle, a glass pipette, and a collar with a rubber teat on top. Squeeze, let go, and up comes the oil into the pipette. Whatever you call it, it's our 100 ml clear glass dropper bottle.

No. Light goes straight through clear glass. It's the pick when people should see the colour and how much is left, when the oil is stable, or when the bottle lives in a carton. Around 2,000 drops, if the oil's thin. Squeeze the pipette full and you've got about 1 ml, which is 20 drops or so. Thick carrier oils? Fewer, fatter drops. At 2 ml of hair or body oil a go, a 100 ml dropper bottle's good for about 50 goes. Print that on the label; people ask.

A glass pipette with a collar and teat, already on. Pick Gold + Black, Silver + Black, Gold + White or all Black; collar first, teat second. Sitting on a shelf? No. Bumping around in a courier box? It can. A pipette is there to dispense, not to seal a parcel, so tip the bottle over or squash the teat and oil creeps out. Fill only to the shoulder. Pack it standing, teat up, shrink band over the neck. Posting them loose, day in, day out? Swap the pipette for an 18 mm euro dropper and a black screw cap. No minimum on those either.

Nope. They come straight out of the factory cartons, unwashed. Wash the clear glass bottles, pipettes, collars and black or white teats in warm water with a little mild detergent and rinse them well. Sterilise next: a 70% isopropyl alcohol rinse, or hot water on the glass parts, but don't boil the rubber teats. Dry it all, necks down. A damp bottle never gets filled.
