    • Use a 2–5 ml glass spray vial for perfume samples. A fine-mist spray lets customers wear the scent exactly as they would the full bottle, and 2 ml is the usual sampling size.     • Our glass vials run from 1 ml to 30 ml. Plug-and-cap and dip-stick vials start at 1 ml; dropper vials in 2, 3, 5 and 10 ml; spray vials in 2, 5 and 10 ml; roll-on vials in 3, 5 and 10 ml; and cork-stopper vials from 2 ml to 30 ml. Pick the smallest size that shows your product properly, which keeps sample kits light to post.
    • Borosilicate is a tough laboratory-grade glass that resists heat and temperature change better than ordinary glass. It lets thin-walled vials stay strong and crystal clear, which suits samples that are posted, handled and carried in a bag. It is also inert, so perfumes, oils and serums do not react with it. Many of our vials are borosilicate.
    • Match the closure to how the product is used: spray for perfumes and mists, roll-on for oils applied to skin, dropper for serums and essential oils, and cork for gift packs. Plug-and-cap vials are the most compact and leak-resistant tester for perfume oils. If you are unsure, order one of each to test with your product.
    • Screw-cap vials with an inner plug or roller seal best for posting; cork vials are for display and gift packs. Fill leaving a little headspace, close caps firmly, and pack vials upright in a box or sleeve. Spray vials are sealed by their pump, so press-test one before a full run.     • A dip-stick vial is a tester vial with a small rod attached to the cap for applying perfume oil or attar. The customer unscrews the cap and dabs the oil onto the skin with the rod, so nothing is wasted and no dropper is needed. It is the classic format for attar and perfume-oil testers at counters and in sample kits.
    • Yes: 2–5 ml amber dropper vials make the best essential oil testers. Amber protects the oil from light, and the dropper lets customers smell or try a drop without opening a full bottle.     • Choose amber for light-sensitive oils and serums, and clear or frosted when the product should be seen. Amber filters most UV light, so essential oils and actives keep their strength.
