No, it doesn't, and we'd rather you knew now than after a batch goes off. Clear glass lets light straight through. So keep clear for a stable serum, a water-based one, or a bottle that lives in a carton. Got vitamin C, retinol or a pure essential oil? Put that in our amber or black glass dropper bottle instead. Same 30 ml.

Give the teat a squeeze, dip, and let go; you'll see the serum climb the glass pipette. Hold it over clean fingertips, not straight over your face, and press gently till the drops come. Three or four is plenty for a face serum. Then pop the pipette back in and screw the collar down, so no air or dust gets in.

About 600 drops, if the serum's thin. A full squeeze of the pipette gives you roughly 1 ml, which is 20 drops or so; a thicker oil gives fewer, fatter drops. Someone using three or four drops morning and night will take two to three months to finish a 30 ml face serum. That's worth printing on your label.

It comes with a glass pipette, a collar and a rubber teat, already screwed on. You choose the colours: Gold + Black, Silver + Black, Gold + White, Silver + White or all Black, collar first and teat second. And since the neck is a standard 18 mm, our 18 mm pipette sets (ask for the 30 ml length), euro dropper inserts, lotion pumps and spray pumps fit it too.

On a shelf, no. In a courier van going over speed-breakers, it can. A pipette is made for dispensing, not for sealing a parcel, so if the teat gets squashed or the bottle tips, oil gets out. Fill only to the shoulder, pack it upright with the teat up, and slip a shrink band over the neck. Posting every day? Switch to our 30 ml clear glass essential oil bottle with a euro dropper and screw cap; there's no minimum on that one either.

They come exactly as they left the factory carton, unwashed. Wash the clear glass bottles, pipettes, collars and teats in warm, soapy water and give them a good rinse. Then sterilise them with a 70% isopropyl alcohol rinse, or hot water for the glass parts; just don't boil the teats. Leave everything to dry upside down. We never fill a damp bottle, and you shouldn't either.
