    • Roll-on bottles hold oil-based products applied straight onto the skin: attar, perfume oil, essential-oil blends and some face and under-eye oils. The steel ball spreads a thin, even layer and stops the oil from spilling. They are not suited to alcohol-based perfume, which needs a spray bottle.
    • 10 ml for a retail attar or blend, 5 ml for trial sizes, and 3 ml for samples and testers. A 10 ml roll-on of perfume oil lasts most customers two to three months of daily use. Many brands sell the 10 ml and add a 3 ml sample to gift sets and first orders.

Wash them in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse, and let them dry completely before filling; a rinse with 70% isopropyl alcohol is a quick way to sanitise the glass.
